There's nothing stopping a superstar player with millions from contracts and endorsements deciding to create their own shoe. No athlete coming into the league is ever going to bypass a company throwing millions of dollars at him because he's already got a FULL TIME JOB trying to make it as an NBA player. The best case scenario for BBB is they sell enough t-shirts, secure a shoe deal with an unknown, smaller company, and eventually get bought by a larger company for millions.
