Would you rather be broke your whole life or have 100 mil and then go broke?
I'm pretty sure they do, but most of them are 20 year old kids who never payed attention in a class in their life. These athletes need to be mandated to complete some sort of economics/accounting course or seminar.
Too many pathetic stories of guys who should have their kids' kids' kids set for life blowing it all away and being broke within 10 (usually 5) years of retirement.
I don't feel bad for Spree, but it is a damn shame that these guys can't handle money for shyt.
Another issue though is that spending all of that time learning how to handle the money would essentially leave you with no time to work on the craft that actually EARNS you the money. That's true but you gottaq be smart, it's YOUR money, go get educated about managing YOUR own money...
I follow Stephen Jackson on Instagram and this reminds me of something he posted earlier:
Captain: "
This the type of text message u get from a grown man when u tell them after 15yrs of doing more for him than he did for himself. Food, clothes , a place to stay ,jewelry, trips u name it. All because I don't wanna live in "MY" house that I worked for with grown men. Are u serious lol. That's goes to show that Boyz be loyal until they don't benefit no more. Watch these Boyz close to u. That want what u got and wanna see u fall. Sad world. He's not the only one that's lost the meaning of "FAKE" these days. I guess fake the new real if he think he real for this lmao. Just stayed prayed up and do right when wrong your only option. I rather take care of a women than a couple men over 35. Smdh it's my fault though handicapped Boyz too long. My bad homie"
I bet a lot of these guys, when their career is over, will realize a lot of these friends aren't friends and family ain't family. The whole, you say 'no' once thing, it's like you never said yes, thing.
At any rate, besides spending habits. he brought it on himself.
I'm pretty sure they do, but most of them are 20 year old kids who never payed attention in a class in their life.
Sitting there like
He should have diversified his bondsBut this is where you're missing out, Trell never had $100m, I`m sure he blew threw it on the regular with people having their hand in his pocket.
He most likely was living in debt and getting around 10 m a year, which was leaving as fast as it was coming
