Not really classic Latin music but I always like the Orishas

Raleigh by way of Crooklyn

Nah, my good nikka, black as they come. Growing up, my mans was Puerto Rican, and I used to be in his house all the time. We lived in the same building, so his moms would often ask my moms if I could roll with them places. She would cook and have a nikka stay for dinner. She didn't speak English too well at the time, so she was like "if he's gonna be coming around and hanging out, he's gonna have to learn Spanish." She told his pops, his sisters and him, to only speak to me in Spanish. The radio was always on Spanish, and the TV was always on Univision or Telemundo. So I just kinda picked it up. I'm forever grateful to her for that. I dropped by with my wife and kids last year when I went up top, I still feel a sense of gratitude to her for holding me down as a youngin. I was so nice language wise that my wife, who is Puerto Rican, thought I was Dominican when she met me. I dig that old skool Salsa like Hector Lavoe, Tito Rojas, Frankie Ruiz :myman:, among others.
