Yeah it was dope. It's one of those flicks I watched without watching if you know what I mean. I decided to watch it again cuz I couldn't sleep last night. Midway through it dawned on me that
this wasn't their first time getting their mind erased.

Kaufman flicks are always :mindblown:

Jim Carrey really showed out in this one. He's one of a few guys wasting their time by just cashing checks. I hope more guys follow in Bill Murray's footsteps.

shyt was genius. Jim's more serious movies never get any recognition.

I think they had their minds erased more than a few times, when dude erasing his mind said he was starting to build a immunity to it kinda put that into perspective

:ohhh: I don't remember that part, was it Sam or Patrick that said it? And do you think Sam got Kirsten Dunst the same way Patrick got Clementine? It clicked a lot for me when he said I can never meet a nice girl. Maybe I should get back with Naomi and when he ditched work to catch the train to Montauk twice in the flick.

Jim Carrey was :wow: in this. has me wanting to give boring ass The Majestic and Man on the Moon another shot.

More people should watch this movie. I am not sure why, but I have this and Vanilla Sky tied together in my mind for some reason.

I think its the inevitable regret at the end is what links them for me.

yeah its funny cause after we had that vanilla sky thread in here last week, i went out and watched eternal sunshine again. those 2 movies are completely different stylistically...but they're tied together in my mind as well.

what scene did he say that in? i dont remember that. i think that was the FIRST time they had their minds erased...but I got the impression at the end that it would happen again. i've even heard that in some deleted scenes they show clementines records or whatever and she ends up having the procedure done multiple times.

i didnt get the impression that jim careys character would go thru that mind erase thing a bunch of times with other women. the only reason he went thru with it w/ clementine is cause she did it to him first. but i DO think clem is the type of bytch to get that shyt done a bunch of times.

seems really unethical for the doctors to continually do that to the same patient. sounds like a recipe for CTE or some shyt. once you have it done, you dont remember ever having it done. so everytime a person went in to do it again, they are under the impression its their first time. they could be causing themselves long term brain damage without even knowing it. it would be fukked up for the doctors to not tell her, "look...you had this shyt done like 10 times already you gotta stop".

The movie starts off freshoff of a mindwipe. That[s why he hasnt had a journal post in 2 years, doesnt know thee darling clementine song, and something tells him to go to momtauk which are the last words she says to him before she disappears at the beach huose
