Damn, just read it's the last season. Was hoping it could go to 6 seasons. I bet this shyt is gonna be rushed like the last season of BE. :francis:
It would have to be hyper rushed to get through all the comic book material. So basically either way this last season is going to suck, either come nowhere close to reaching its natural conclusion or dedicate like 5 minutes apiece to several comics numerous times each episode.

So I caught with the remaining seasons after swearing it off after season 1, and while i thought it was well done, i had some issues
- custer is the weakest thing about the show so far. not knocking dominic cooper, but many of the characters are quite nuanced(tulip, cassidy, eugene, even fukking hitler) but custer still feels one note to me even when it comes to despising characters that his antagonists, you despise them for already being fukked characters, rather for being against him. it doesnt help that the character building for him isnt done well, and he does a few things that you would think they would have him reflect on(like sending a kid to hell, but only bringing it up again once, and then as a threat to someone else. they introduce the duke for a segment but didn't use him past it, which makes him rather useless as to his true purpose.
- the l'angelles were pretty neutered. I mean you get why granma was a terrible person, but both Jody and TCs transgressions against Jesse and his parents was cut out quite a bit, which is a shame given that they're some of the most evil characters in the series. They even removed their connection to another character altogether.

But there was good shyt in there too
- here starr was fantastic. Just about every time he was on screen you knew he was about to do the damn thing.
- Eugene was very well done and his character arcs were pretty good too. i like that despite literally being in hell, he tries to keep to who he is
- hitler feels suprisingly right out of the comic. which is good because he wasnt, but he he has that ennis feel to him.

The God/dinosaur bit was great :mjlol:

I was surprised by Cass' decision, especially the 2nd time but maybe the sun was too bright. "Never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity."

Tulip/Featherstone have a nice rivalry :ehh:

Kind of a bummer that Jesse had/felt he had to leave again :francis:
