I was gonna say this gen, but damn, these are all good points...I put more hours into SFIV and COD4/MW2 than any game this gen by a long shot.I had much more fun last gen.
-shooters were FLOURISHING
-SF4 was a smash hit and restored the feeling.
-DLC was only in its infancy.
-Party chat hadn't destroyed online communication til late in the gen.
-360 pirating was rampant until we all got banned lol. I wonder if @2gunsup still has that pic of our avi's photoshopped onto swimming survivors of a sinking ship.
-I never got the feeling game devs/publishers were actively insulting consumers last gen unlike now.

360 was a fukking powerhouse....dope ass third party titles, first party exclusives were hitting hard during the first half of the gen, even had niche Japanese titles that were good as shyt like Lost Odyssey and Blue dragon. Controller is still very nostalgic when I use it even though the Xbox one controller is better. 360 controller still feels good to hold.
360 is the only console that has come close to overtaking my favorite of all time the Dreamcast.

2006 and 2011 were the hardest times to be a Sony fanboy, goddamn.
Last gen. The amount of great IPs introduced. Sports games/FPS revival. Online for consoles. This gen fine but what exactly is it known for outside better functionality and infrastructure?
