Mitch, Dot and Knox really led the way and won that game in spite of having no PG's last night (what Mudiay did was not point guard play).
- I really liked Knox getting to the rack for results. It felt like he wasn't getting those drives as often as the game wore on, but he wasn't settling at least until later in the game when fatigue set in. Good to see him rebounding well too.
- Mitch 14, 10, 4 and 3 blocks...When his foot was on ice, the Bulls got momentum. When he came back in, the Knicks started producing enough to hang on again. But it's the fact that he was able to mimic some of the simple assist opportunities that DJ has gotten with the ball flowing through his hands up top that really made me smile. It's nothing overly complicated, but spotting movement and passing quickly is still something that plenty of bigs don't do particularly well.
- Dot was overdue for a big shooting night. 6 made three's out of 7 and then 6 assists too...he did turn it over 4 times but he was a glorified PG for part of the third quarter since Allen was out. I see a quality role player right now.
- Luke Kornet is all 3's and blocks. The poster dunk was fire but his game is all predicated on making the three. I hate how ineffective he is on the glass but he's gone from someone I picture playing in China some day to an NBA value piece with his floor stretching.
- Allen's concussion really sucks. Dude had 7 points and 5 assists in 10 minutes. There's a curse on our PG's this season and the only thing protecting Mudiay is that he shoots too much, doesn't tally enough assists and turns it over too much to be a PG...so the curse skips over him thinking he's a SG.
