Hypothetical -

Knicks get the 1st pick

Hawks get the 3rd and 4th pick

You keeping the 1 or trading for 3 and 4?

:jbhmm:

If we could come away with 2 of Culver/RJ/Came/Garland. it would at least have to be a discussion. Zion is a beast so you probably say no, but two top 4 picks..... that deserves a honest review of the prospects that would be available at 3 and 4.

My bad, breh.

I just feel like most teams really don't want to be forced to draft Zion. Of course the counter is - "Who the fukk is Pres?" I don't claim that my opinion is backed by anything, just a feeling.

I look at Zion Williamson and I look at the way the NBA is trending and I can see teams having concerns about Zion being way more one dimensional in the NBA since he won't be able to bully grown men like he does college kids.

I'm willing to be proven wrong, though. If he really is going to be that generational talent...best believe I want him.

Nah, I think Zion is seen as the prize of this draft by a wide margin and all teams would love to win the lottery and pick him.

The way the NBA is trending (positionless basketball) is personified by Zion. The mass of a center with the speed of a point guard. He will be able to guard all 5 positions on the floor and grown men will be bullied we're talking about a kid that's 6'7 285 lb. with a 45 inch vertical and the body control and finesse of a young LeBron James. He dead ass might be the most athletic player we've ever seen on the hardwood, he's built like a DE that chose to play basketball. His game is also more than athleticism he has I.Q. and motor, he has point guard skills, he has drop steps and other moves in the post, he can attack with spins and hop steps, and he's willing to take open threes.

Morant is nice but his jumper scares me and he played for Murray State where he was able to monopolize the ball, he was basically college basketball's Russell Westbrook. I don't want a good pick I want a gawd. Zion has that highlight reel factor, combined with a strong work ethic, wholesome image that's a guy that can carry the league, that's a guy who other guys want to play with, a guy who can carry an organization and league as a whole.

These are my takes on R.J., how y'all think he can fit next to Knox... :jbhmm:
Barrett can't go right for shyt, he's a volume shooter with a flat shot, he's a solid athlete but more smooth than explosive. Dude takes way too many ill-advised drives into traffic and bad contested shots from the perimeter.

He's a dog out there though way more aggressive/fearless than Wiggins, so he'll probably end up better. He's also very physical he's already type cut with broad shoulders so as he fills in he'll be one of the sturdiest wings. He has nice shot creating abilities in the midrange, nice floaters, long strides, draws fouls and finishes through contact, competes on defense.

I don't know who to compare him to but I think he should watch footage on DeMar DeRozan and D'Angelo Russell. If his game can be a mesh of D'Angelo's craftiness and playmaking with DeRozan's physicality and athleticism with the shooting and shot creating ability both guys have he could be a dope player.

It's funny to compare him to busts like Weedplate and Shabazz but R.J. is still a top 3 pick in this draft and could be a future 20/7/5 guy. Duke's spacing was trash and they didn't really have upperclassmen to contribute.

Cam Reddish though :scust:
