It makes sense tho. If the whole league knows KD is NY bound. And you tell the front office you want out and don’t plan on signing this summer, doesn’t that tell you something? Especially with everything we read about Janis wanting control in the front office, a seat at the table, and everything we’ve seen so far indicates that that’s exactly what the Knicks plan to do with KD and Rich Kleinman.

You're making some assumptions here. I don't believe with my whole soul that KD is coming here... So I dont put stock into KP believing KD was coming. It also doesn't line up with some of the veiled shots he took on the way out.

Is it possible? Absolutely, I can see it. But I can just as easily see him being upset that the FO didn't have a plan to bring KD over and making him, Knox and Mitch the core. Won't know until later
