I wasn't disappointed at all. Most of these guys are on 1 year contracts and this team will be completely renovated and revamped next year. They're only playing for their rights to stay.

Wouldn't be surprised if Hardaway, Kanter, Mudiay, Burke, and a few others get the
:camby: While giving us Zion and Nasir plus cap space to get Kyrie, Kawhi and extend KP, Mitch and Knox contracts.

I only watch these games for Knox and Mitch so my optimism on Frank is the opposite of you guys opinions and I haven't been disappointed yet. I just want Knox to start yamming it on nikkas.

The holiday season got me neglecting recaps here's some random food for thought as the wheels start to fall off between injuries and defense.

Over the last fifteen, outplaying Timmy has been fairly simple:

34 minutes PPG: 16.7 APG: 3 RPG: 3 FGA: 15 FG%: 34 3pt%: 32 TO: 1.6

Dot last 15 games played:
22 minutes PPG: 9.3 APG: 1 RPG: 3 FGA: 8 FG%: 49 3pt%: 40 TO: 1

Trier's last 15:
22 minutes PPG: 11 APG: 2.3 RPG: 3.5 FGA: 8.5 FG%: 45 3pt%: 33 TO: 2

This is just to drive home how much Tim's hurting the team; that our alternatives are better; and that the nicest explanation for playing this poorly for roughly half of his season so far (33 total games played) is that he's playing through injuries. If he's hurt, he shouldn't be playing. If he's healthy, there's been no accountability. Regardless of how we look at it though; this is too long a stretch not to make some kinda change ASAP. I would cut his minutes or just give him a week or two recovery off (a little break like this used to do wonders for Melo). Either way though, the team isn't very watchable or competitive right now and we need to get more out of THJ whether it's to keep him as an effective piece or to boost his value to make a trade feasible.

Another crazy bit, since that four game hot streak from Trey Burke he's played in 8 games and averaged:
16.5 minutes PPG: 5.5 APG: 1.5 RPG: 2 FGA: 7.6 FG%: 18 3pt%: 31 TO: 0.1

He's another player getting inconsistent minutes, units to work with and roles who can't find his footing.

The only PG in the logjam that might have some value right now is Mudiay and I'd consider moving him if we could bring in an asset just in case his numbers are a mirage. He's been a bit Jekyll and Hyde lately:
9/15 games sub 40% from the field but 4 of the remaining 6 were 28 points or better at abover 50% shooting.
7/15 games with 3 or more TO's but 8/15 with 5 assists or more as well.

But at least we have Knox:
December has been beautiful for this kid's growth:
34 Minutes PPG: 18 APG: 2 RPG: 6 FGA: 16 FG% 42 3pt%: 38

That's a 12 game sample which is pretty good considering he's only played in 28 total. The scoring was a given; the rebounding is something I've been tagging for a while now, he's got good instincts and uses his athleticism well there so 6 boards per at SF seems like it's got a chance to stick. Then there's the passing, 2 APG isn't telling the whole story here and that's mainly because this bit has shown growth but it is just starting. I'd argue yesterday was my favorite game from Knox moving the ball. The last few games, you'll catch Knox making a move into a kick out or a dish off. It's just some anticipation and willful passing right now, but it's a promising development amid his scoring and rebounding. Defensively; there's some improvement but it's still the biggest mountain to climb for him so far imo. Either way, 19 and putting up these kinds of numbers for a significant stretch; the kid is promising as all hell and if he keeps this up or god forbid improves even more...:banderas:

One thing I’m excited about is Knox offense the way he putting them floaters in :wow: shyt was automatic.

Same, that's a tough shot and he's gonna end up taking a lot of those

A consistent floater are usually the most clear sign your dealing with an above average shooter. He looks like a legit keeper if he can get his defense to being average he'll have a long career here.

He's also looking like the 2nd best wing this draft behind Doncic and potentially top 5 pick good.

And most importantly

On the real too, when I think of great floaters it's usually guards like Tony Parker. It's a great move to stay elusive. Being a 6'10 teenager and having that floater as a bit of a signature; that could really become something. The kid's still got a shaky base and loose handle but he can get into the lane and finish off the strength of that ish. He's got the combination of offensive skillset and measurables to really push elite scorer territory but of course that's a mountain to climb for anybody.

How do we get both? Aren't they both top 10 picks?

I'm disheartened by the recent question marks regarding Frank & the Coach's plan.

He's done things - and shown his capability - that makes me still back him. He never was supposed to be a star.

As crazy as it sounds...I still believe he can be an impact player on the future Knicks...

But... I'm really starting to think we won't see him in a Knicks jersey beyond the deadline...

We won’t. I want him to succeed regardless of where he is but this just ain’t it for him here, from the FO to the coach. If he gets to a team that has an actual offense system and development staff he gonna be something special.

They need to trade him because all they care about is Mudiay and Tim:francis:As usual he'll go to somewhere else and get development that backfires on us:francis:
