Stop it. Frank is only 8 months younger than Dennis. Ya'll going to stop using that as a f*cking excuse.
:philjacksonlol2: Isn’t your boy shooting 29% from the field in Houston?

:philjacksonlol2: You got bigger things to worry about, fakkit.

Breh look like JR Rider but with the ability to get more rebounds. Now Imagine JR in an era without hand checks and the centers can't just clog the paint.....:whew:

Breh looks like Paul George. Just buckets, drives, and defense:whoo:

Brehs he looks like Dwanye Wade out there Eurostepping on dudes and drawing contact. :ohlawd:

Like the lottery is fukked up now, but if we can pull RJ, or Cam we are very good fit/talent wise. Zion at SF would be interesting take and little clunky but his talent is crazy. I could see him going before Cam too, so I don't know if the knicks would have to take him.

I still think Frank is a SG on a 2 ball handler back court. Put him next to another PG who can attack and they would have the offense zipping. Put him next to a defensive PG and it would be a strength for the team. We just don't got the personnel

I understand the view, but I think playing him at the 2 takes away his biggest strength which is guarding the point. Frank will probably always need a second playmaker out there to maximize his strengths and that's easiest to find at PG. But unless it's a PG with the size to guard 2's, I'd prefer a SG with the ball handling and playmaking to breakdown a defense. Where it's looking like we'll be picking in the draft; we got options.

Honestly if you put Frank in a bubble the top two PG's next to him might be Rubio and to a lesser degree Rozier (though there are a ton of questions on what his real floor/ceiling is) because they've shown they can defend at a high level. Kemba offensively works, but Jordan would be stupid to not throw the bag at him, and I personally don't like small PG's around his age cause once they lose their speed it's a wrap.

I do agree with you though. This draft is full of 2 guard/wings Cam, RJ, Romeo, K Johnson, Grimes...... possibly even Nassir. If we keep going the way we are even if we fall back in the draft we're coming away with one of them.

It's a interesting situation cause if the Knicks miss out on KD and Kyrie (and just cause he is a FA Kawhi) They still can only afford one of Kemba, or Middleton? They can go a tier below that to chase two of the Oubre, Rozier, Randle, and Rubio level FA. However, does any of those combinations guarantee us at least being a playoff team? Then even among those that decision has to factor in the current roster issues. Like is Frank a PG or a SG? Is KP and PF or a C? Is Knox a 3 or a small ball 4? Can Mitch be a consistent contributor next year at C? Does one of the current FA show enough to pay to keep? Are we really going to run Pace and Space?

Like I know a lot of people in this thread get mad at losses but there's so much transition and questions going on with this team that need to be figured out by the end of the season on the court.... how could we expect them to be winning?

Yeah, I feel you. I think this is where the Fizdale "positionless basketball" mantra really can go a long way. This season is a jigsaw puzzle. More about finding out which pieces fit together best and what the missing elements will be to form a complete picture.

So rather than look at it like is Frank a PG or SG? I say look at it like, "what guard will fit best into a backcourt with Frank." And the same for KP, "which big will fit best in a front court with KP?" Hopefully KP gets back with enough time to see how he looks in some of these combos (but not enough time to keep us from drafting a Reddish).

I realize it's frustrating for a lot of people to watch a losing team. But watching with a mind on the fact that we'll be getting KP back and then have two shots at forming a cohesive whole is where it's at. I'm really hoping the Noah and Mitch front court holds up and works; because if Mitch can fit with Vonleh then he can definitely work with KP. Hopefully Knox comes back soon so that we can see how he gels with the new rotation too. And even though we'll hit the offseason with clear holes on the roster; if we know where the holes are than we should have a very high draft pick and near max cap space to cover those holes and put it all together.

P.S. Middleton is a player that I'm really curious about. He plays really smart, efficient basketball with quality defense. If Knox develops into the slashing threat that I think he can be; I think a Frank/Khris/Knox(*potentially Zion)/KP/Mitch squad would be fun as hell to watch develop. It'd be relying big on players improving, but the upside on both sides of the court is insane.

Honestly now that we're in the season I see positionless basketball as a nice way of saying we got maybe 7 SG's on the roster and need to give most of them time.

Also Middleton is nice, at 28 he is going into his prime. Though just like Kemba I question if his team lets him go. He is the second best player on the Bucks easy. If he leaves it really is Giannis doing most the scoring. I have them as a Kanter trade target cause they could use his scoring and might be looking to go over the cap to keep Middleton.
