pre season is when young players are supposed to be practicing for their regular season roleBRUH.....ITS THE PRESEASON!
Yes. It's the one millionth article written by "people in the know" about how a big time player all of a suddenly has ties, connections, interests, and other compelling reasons why they may be looking to join the New York Knicks. And it's all bullshyt. And you should know better.
We just this play out less than two weeks ago with Butler. The Knicks held firm and remain committed to their stance that they were not going to make any big time moves this year. All of a sudden Butler's talking about oh he really loved the Clippers or now he wants the Heat. Again more bullshyt.
These players and their agents are using the Knicks as leverage (via leaked "reports") in order to affect a contract negotiation. My guess is in Durant's case it's about getting the freedom and flexibility of a two-year contract with the second year being a player option versus the Warriors being able to sign him up for 4/5 years and having him locked into a fixed pay schedule. That extra flexibility gives Durant a little more power when it comes to roster decisions and ultimately satisfying the player's ego of being catered to at all times. Also the ability to opt out quicker allows Durant to take advantage of the higher pay rates as the salary cap increases on what looks like a yearly basis.
My guess is Durant's agent is most likely creating leverage by floating the stories of the Knicks being a potential destination in order to help convince the Warriors that maybe they should just go ahead and include that player option deal.
I don't know about you Knickas but I get irritated reading shyt like this. I don't believe it either:
Hardaway has to go. If he's not going to be a playmaker he can go.
I need Hardaway's comments on why he isn't playing PG. He's the only one with legitimate ball handling and playmaking experience.
You watched the Hawks last season?
You saw him penetrating the paint and passing to the open man?
You saw him initiating the offense?
You saw him using the pick and roll?
In this thread, dudes only watching Knicks basketball.
Listen, we've seen it. Same thing happened to Carroll, he was balling with the Hawks and moved to the ISO system in Toronto and was wack. He's thriving with the Nets now.
Hornacek is using an ISO system still. Hardaway can't work with that. Most of the guys on this team can't find their own shot. Motion offense is the only way to go.
And yet 5 years removed from our motion offense 54 win season we're not using a motion offense.
pathological scorers instinct young zo.buckets*iso.zo* you called it @.number.(n)one.*

I thought he was capable of playing PG???
