so what part of town are the knicks in

manhattan?
The Knicks play at Madison Square Garden which is in Manhattan. However, they are New York's REAL team and they represent the entire city.

The Knicks have been in NYC for 73 years (since the Knicks inception). The Nets have only been in NYC for 7 years.

These haven't been awful moves in a vacuum; sign guys to two year deals and maintain some flexibility to sign them longer if they work out, but I don't wanna see these guys take minutes away from Knox or Mitch since I think both have higher ceilings ( in Mitch's case way higher) than Portis or Randle.

Knicks need to use the rest of the cap space for bad contracts though. The Knicks should've been all over Iguodala's contract, he would've been a GREAT vet to have around too smh.

Why are so sure that this report is bs. It's like some of you are in denial.
I’m not in denial. Its clear that none of the big free agents wanted to come here.

My thing is, we know there is an on going beef with the media and Dolan/the knicks. And dolan has it coming to him with his history.

But we also know Dolan has been hands off since he brought in Phil. He attends a game here and there, but he doesn’t interfere with the day to day.

None of the free agents came probably because of dolans past, but not because he wouldn’t offer max to KD. So media sees this as a perfect moment to throw more mud in dolans face and hoping there is some sort of mutiny and they force him to sell.

Headlines now read “pathetic Knicks lowball the best player in NBA”. How you think other superstars take that? They ain’t gonna wanna come here either.

Slow down on the negative takes. We have to spend money no matter what. We still maintained flexibility for future trades. Now, those future trades will not require our youth.

And even if we manage to be players in the 2021 free agency, nobody is coming here unless we can prove that we have a winning team.

Part of the reason why the Nets were more attractive because they were already a playoff team.

These deals are a hedge between flexibility and fielding a competent team.

its pretty hard to stomach signing a bunch of basically replacement level players after stretching noah, trading porzingis, reading for a year about durant, etc.

i understand there's context behind every one of those situations, and even a lot of the reasoning behind the "these signings are good actually" takes but idk...they'll be lucky to win 30 games and im straight up TIRED of watching them lose every goddamn year. year after year after year. :francis:

now we have to punt hope for youth development when theyve never developed a home grown star since ewing, and listen to 2 years of giannis rumors when it has 0 chance of happening.

idk, i feel bad adding negativity to the pile here. but i woke up pretty down on them this morning :mjcry:
