I'd risk throwing the max at Kawhi and KD over choosing a guard.

Then what happens if they say 'thanks but no thanks' and sign elsewhere? There's nothing wrong with having a backup plan. They're not just going to run the kids out there again and lose 60+ games next year, I'd bet the mortgage on it

I'm saying if we had the choice. Of course we need a point guard but we also have a lot of shooting guards who can also play the point.

I like the George Hill and RoLo rumors. Those are two quality vets that I could actually see signing for 2 year deals that aren't absurdly expensive. They'd leave plenty of room for DSJ and Mitch to start, but can step up if guys need a night off. I don't get the Rozier rumors when Perry and Mills have stressed guys accepting their roles. I'm not a fan of the D-Lo idea, but I wouldn't be upset about it. I see reasons for skepticism but his shooting alone is worth the cost of admission.

As of right now, they only have 5 players on the roster that you'd call guards(DSJ, Ntilikina, Barrett, Dotson, Trier). DSJ is the only one I'd trust at point and I don't think he's all that good. They need basically everything. Nothing wrong with kicking the tires on a PG

2 to 3 on rotation is all we need. That's Trier and Dotson. RJ and Frank at the 2. We can even play Knox at 2 and Mario at 3. Dotson is a decent point guard but this is if and only if we were concrete in getting a top 5 free agent otherwise we need a point guard and another big.
