The hype magic of the Garden turned Lin into a fukking wizard.

KP fed off of them, too.

When our new prodigal son walks into the garden and lights up the crowd, he will ride a wave like never before seen.

If this was 2k, with this FO, coach and fans/arena, RJ Barrett's potential growth would get a 20% boost.

I'm very excited.

BARRETT'S TRIP TO MILLS' APARTMENT
Mills said Friday that the Knicks spent considerable time with Barrett before they drafted him. That included time together at the NBA Combine in Chicago and during Barrett's two-day trip to New York for a workout.

"Scott and I took him out to dinner twice. He came to my apartment to watch the NBA Finals together. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other and understanding that he had the things that we were looking for," Mills said. "But I think we had the things he was looking for. So we spent a lot of time getting to know each other. We knew him as basketball player. We were looking into who he was as a person and as a competitor. So that was important to us."

On Barrett's visit with Mills at his apartment, the team president said he wanted Barrett "to come in and be part of my family and spend time with me and my wife. It was important to spend quality time together. I wasn't looking for anything important but (to) express to him the relationship we'd like to have with the players who play for us."

Yea they've def called it I remember Steph got called before. Hardens the only one they let rock with it:jbhmm:
its the same gather step that you use to get to the rim, except it's used to sidestep on the perimeter. technically it's not a travel...and because its something thats only come about the last 2 years or so...it just looks abnormal.
it toes the line...and is a bit too close for comfort for me....but if he develops a rep with the refs and they let him get by...so be it.
you're not supposed gather, step back to take a contested shot...in traditional basketball logic for the last 50 years.....but it's become the bread and butter of several players in the league.
harden isnt the only one that does it.

A step back done properly is not a travel nor is it a new move that just came about in the last few years. Neither is the "eurostep" and euro's didn't invent that shyt either. The step back and gather are supposed to happen at the same time. If you've gathered then step back, that's a travel. After a hard dribble in the direction you want your defender to think you're going, that's when you simultaneously step back, gather, and release. It's a jump stop in reverse. A proper jump stop, you jump off one foot and land on 2 for the "stop". Not that goofy shyt some mufukkas do by jumping off 2 feet and landing on 2 feet. That's a goddamn travel. If I seem irked I am. I coach youth basketball and trying to teach this is hard especially when a player has been taught wrong by some other goofy ass coach.

Mitch Rob should not be playing in summer league. We know who that man is.

Knox on the other hand needs to play and shoot 20+ times a game. Knicks need his offense to mature and be a threat next to RJ.
Why not have them all build some chemistry together since they’ll be the cornerstone for years to come.

Im tired of everyone shyttin on the Knicks

I pray Perry and Mills ignore the media and idiot fans that want us to sign players for the sake of signing someone

Were finally after all these years doing the rebuild the right way. If were a lottery team next year so be it. There were circumstances that are out of our control like the KD injury and Kyrie has poor character so hes not a good fit
