But if RJ has higher potential then that's too big of a risk giving up on him just to sign a potential point guard that may be a bust. The top 3 in the draft are the only choices we should be picking plus we already have DSJ, Kadeem Allen and we could position one our other guards to play the 1.
And who determines who has higher potential? Isn't it the same staff that are making these decisions? And if they determine a PG has higher potential than Barrett then....

I'm not understanding the confusion. Drafting a player because you think that at their position, they won't be able to bring you a title when you're in the position we're in is asinine. Is the goal to win a title? Absolutely. But you do that by pooling and developing talent. The Knicks management have to make the decision based on what they have seen to pick a player who will give the best return. Damn the position.

Breh idk, Grizzlies could send out Parsons for all the Lakers kids in the trade between 2 and 4..... but based on what I hear none of those players have the potential Morant has.
If the knicks are dead set on grabbing Garland. Trade the 3rd with Nola for the 4th/2020 first round unprotected pick. Nola ain’t making the playoffs. That should easily be a lottery.

I know Nola won’t give us an unprotected pick, but they coming to us, we gotta ask for more.

Edit- Or, are we willing to trade RJ to Nola and for what pieces and players do we ask in return?

You don't deal with fukkboy terrorists. If they want RJ they should have traded AD to us or they are going to have to pay the Griz a shyt ton to jump up to #2.

I think this is as much to add drama as anything

No we don’t trade RJ for pieces if we think he’s the best player in the draft .

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
WHY is RJ being undervalued :dahell:

If the Knicks get him that's a foundation to build on what they already have.

WHY would they want Kyrie? :mjpls: He proved in Boston, he's a progress stopper to young players.

If I'm the GM, I would simply build on what they already have and sign some mid level players and non max deals. I wouldn't overpay for nobody. It's not worth it. They already tried it and it didn't work.

Just saw Barrett on a pre draft interview on NBA tv and he seems like a real nice kid with a good head on his shoulders. He was always praising his teammates and saying he needs to get better and people doubting him are fine because he does have weaknesses. Of course, I would love to have Zion on the Knicks but Barrett’s not a bad consolation prize.

I been said this and i still beleive it RJ will be the best player in this draft, hes going to be a perennial all star....hes already been in the lab this summer working with Steve Nash....the kid has such a motivation and desire to be great....he is going to get there...hes already working on his right hand and his 3 point shooting...

NIkkas talkmbout he was hoggin in college of course he was,he was better than everyone else and he knew it..same reason he hogged on the Canadian national team,he wont be that guy in the pros....Im surprised so many Knicks fans are down on him..hes got such a great support group around him...kid has a great head on his shoulder...

Nash is not gonna let him fail...
Both of Duke's most important games (Gonzaga in Maui, MSU in the elite 8) were lost because of RJ :gucci:. He was a ball hogging fakkit when he wanted to be. It was Zion and everyone else on that team, including RJ. With that said, RJ should be very good in the league.
