I feel like you can get more value for Frank as an expiring at the deadline if you're gonna give up on him. Waive the option for next season; watch the impending free agent spending frenzy; and wait for teams worried about future luxury tax penalties to call in February about our cap space and expirings. That also gives you an extra half year to see if he can flash something worth keeping him for. I could see moving him for a few million dollars in cap space if we were still chasing two max FA's; but that's really the only reason to do it. If you're not worried about that any more then just eat Ilyasova or Snell and you'll have a late pick.

I'd love to see Frank play a non-NBA summer league game (Rucker, Kenner, Drew) where he's one of the only pro players playing. I wanna see if he can dominate. I just can't see it. And I've seen NBA journeymen in the same situation and they stood out and you could see why they made it to the league. Josh Selby. Chucky Brown. Gary Neal. Cedric Henderson. And before one of Frank's nannies come running up on this post saying "yo baby ain't no scorer and never has been", I've seen Lonnie Harrell (Prime Objective, And1 mixtape fame) dominate a game basically just throwing assists and embarassing defenders off the dribble. Prob had no more than 13 points. There were NBA guys playing and to my knowledge Lonnie has never played a second in the league.

I think that locks the top three in firmly unless the Knicks get some insane offer. My Garland to the Knicks dream lasted less than a day, but Barrett's cool with me. Barret and Garland are the prospects with the best shot at being a primary option imo and with KD's injury we probably need to target one.

There's some truth to this. Even last summer Trey was giving nikkas buckets in the Rucker :ehh:
