My mans, she's the head women's trainer in the E. She's responsible for every generation of women post-4HW, and iirc she trained them as well in part. I know she was out there when Sasha and Bayley... Sasha'n'Bayleyed in Brooklyn. Rhea, Bianca, Shayna, all'em are Rey-Gun trainednikka, I’m late as shyt… but Sara Del Rey from ROH back in the day works for WWE?
Completely forgot about shorty. Wasn’t she married to Claudio at one point?
That’s such a pet peeve of mine (making WWE out to be just another option). I wanted to stand up and say, why the hell are you here then? Go back on the football field if that makes you happy. That’s fine. I have people who would kill to be in your very position and that’s a slap in the face.
I mean all these college athletes didn’t go to college to become pro wrestlers, especially if they going into the sports where they can make the Olympics or make a ton of money playing pro. Of course some are going to look at WWE as just another option. While WWE is in Detroit, Michigan for SummerSlam weekend, the company hosted an invite-only tryout to scout talents for their N.I.L. program/sign to the company.
There’s a piece that Daniel Trainor of The Messenger published about the tryouts and several participants were interviewed. The likes of Grayson Waller, Zoey Stark and Trick Williams were present and gave comments as well. In a portion about delivering promos, it was noted in the article that some of the participants rubbed Stark the wrong way with how they simply viewed WWE as another option while they figure out what’s next for them.
I mean this is probably something you should say to the trainers at the try out lol. Even if you just tryna be honest
I think its they have the option to cut you, but i dont think that even been fully implemented. Cant remember the last time i read about any releases. Because if this was the case, The Rock daughter should’ve been cutI mean all these college athletes didn’t go to college to become pro wrestlers, especially if they going into the sports where they can make the Olympics or make a ton of money playing pro. Many of them can probably can get better paying “real” jobs out of college than NXT and don’t have to move to shythole Florida for them. NXT salaries aren’t as bad as they used to be but they still aren’t exactly great by any means, and there’s no guarantee that even after years in NXT that they’ll ever get called up to main roster to get the bigger money.
And didn’t they enact a policy where they get evaluated every three months and if not progressing fast enough they get cut? What if you get signed to NXT, you get cut after 3 months, then you’re stuck with a lengthy apartment lease you can’t pay?
They don't typically announce NXT releases as they do for the main roster. That's one major reason why Roderick Strong getting to AEW flew entirely under the radar, his release was never announced.I think its they have the option to cut you, but i dont think that even been fully implemented.
