When the continents were connected we didnt exist, that was the dinosaur era we came much later.
similar to this, there was a land bridge that connected Russia to Alaska that allowed present day native Americans to travel across, that bridge is below sea level, this migration happened the last ice age when water levels were much lower, but if were talking present day, that bridge wouldnt exist.
What SHOULD you have learn, during different periods of earth cause or allowed different changes, some places that are deserts in Africa use to be lakes, at one point giraffes had short necks, but over times, changes in climate, earth quakes, meteor crashes, cause different outcomes. Africa is still Africa regardless of being connected to other continents, if a big earth separates California from the USA, it's still California, the only change is that all sides are surround by water instead of the western half

Alot of tribe left Africa, most tribes stayed, all the oldest fossil, and DNA points to Africa, and most of it point to a single African tribe
