You gotta give dude credit...dude is doing the impossible right now. In a age of hd cameras, heat detection, drones, face detection, voice detection and all other types of tech thats out there to prevent this from happening, he has made a fool of all of the law enforcement in the state. His mission could be just to show us how far preparation and intellect can get you even at the extreme disadvantage.
He tried the legal route, it didn't work. It costs money for lawyers, which he didn't have due to having no job.
I think his legacy will go good, depending on who you ask, just like all people who go against the system. This is 2013, and we have the internet, so we will know why he did what he did. The way I see it, dude is trying to start some change you can actually believe in. He's not trying to be liked because of this. He's trying to vindicate himself. And in that vindication he's hellbent on exposing LAPD's system of corruption.
This nikka said what he is doing is necessary evil. So he must know he's in the wrong.
In fact, that acknowledgement in itself has to make you step back and think, well, what would make someone who purports to be trying to do good things do something so evil. He must have been confronted with an evil that he thought could not be overcome with good. At least not in this system.

I'm excited about all the innocent civvies the LAPD is killing in a fearful nervous trigger-finger frenzy. (Two Asian women in a blue Honda Pickup were killed shot at by police officers who apparently thought that they were Dorner, who was driving a gray Nissan)
Dorner first testified about the beating of Christopher Gettler, the homeless schizophrenic who was brutally beaten by the Los Angeles Police Department back in 2007. His testifying was shot down, of course, and he was fired for "lying" about what happened.
He did not lie about any abuse he testified about against the LAPD. He was considered to be a traitor to his gang by the fantastically corrupt Los Angeles Police Department, and as such they excommunicated him from their ranks.
There is nothing the so-called justice system can do. Dorner's actions are the actions of a man who has had an insider look at how the police force works, and has come to the conclusion that no "rational action" such as one obtained through 'normal channels' like courts and prosecution will work.
Anything that the LAPD gets, they deserve. Every member of their ranks is equally guilty for the deaths of hundreds and the abuse of power that they have allowed to flourish in Los Angeles County.
