The actress was humiliated for simply showing public affection to her husband after cops mistook her for a prostitute and she refused to show ID. ‘I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated ... by cops when he had done nothing wrong,’ Watts wrote on Facebook.

A black actress who appeared in “Django Unchained” was handcuffed and detained for kissing her white husband — because police allegedly assumed she was a prostitute.

Daniele Watts burst into tears after she was handcuffed by Los Angeles police in Studio City on Saturday for kissing her husband, Brian Lucas, in public.

Writing on their Facebook pages, Watts and Lucas say they were approached by two officers and the actress was asked for ID.

When Watts refused, police handcuffed her before putting her in the back of a police car.

She was released after her ID was checked by the officers.

Watts wrote: "Today I was handcuffed … after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place.

"As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by cops when he had done nothing wrong. I felt his shame, his anger.

Watts, who played CoCo in Quentin Tarantino's slavery film, said she was crying "for a country that calls itself 'the land of the free and the home of the brave,' and yet detains people for claiming that very right'".

The LAPD refused to comment on the incident.

So why do these same men who loudly and proudly express that they do not have a preference for (non-light skinned) black women care so much about the race/ethnicity/skin color of the men that these black women (whom they've already stated that they do not want) are having sex/relationships with?
