I think you guys aguing are missing the point.
Since the 90s and the LA riots the Los Angeles police department has gotten progressively better. Meanwhile the NYPD has gotten worst. So it isn't just about killing cops, its about holding them accountable. shyt like stop and frisk wouldn't ride over here on the westcoast. But...something else to note is the response. As the police has gotten better in LA, the gangs have gotten better to so its more relaxed on both sides. You can wear blue in blood neighborhoods and red in crip neighborhoods and while it might be a problem if you come across as tryna prove something, there was a time where it was just an automatic problem, no questions. Same as the police. There was a time when LAPD would automatically fukk with you, now its not automatic anymore. Its still fukked up... but not automatic. So I'd say comparatively places like NY have gained less traction regarding change. I hope after things in STL are resolved the police out there dont go back to normal, but instead police chiefs are changed, officers fired, departments reshuffled... cause thats what it took in LA. We demanded visable changes and accountability. I hope STL gets that as a result of the unrest over there and they don't just settle for the one cop who happens to have been the shooter.
