Without expressing an opinion about the trade I would opine that the team may as well forget a large portion of the fanbase if this trade were to happen. The love memphis has for ZBo (even with his injury-impeded playoffs) would be fully corrupted if the org were to bring back the most-maligned Grizzly in history.

why is pau maligned in memphis?

If Houston cant get a deal done for D12, wonder if they would do a Lowry/1st rd pick for Pau deal? I'd take that in a second. Draft Perry Jones and hope Kobe can teach him to have a killer instinct.

Yeah, how Pau played in the past two post seasons is EXACTLY the type of shyt Memphis got tired of when they traded him.

With That said he's still an elite big in this league that could significantly help a team. He's got one of the best post games in the league, is a good rebounded, has great passing skills for a player his size, can knock down free throws at a decent percentage for a player his size.

If he wasn't so mentally weak (and his contract wasn't so big) there'd be no reason to trade him.

He deserves at least a chance to properly implement his "system" and get a full training camp in....Besides he was signed to a large guaranteed contract and the Buss family aint trying to throw away money like that.

Hell even the Knicks didn't get rid of D'Antoni as soon as they wanted because they didn't want to pay him to sit at home.

It was a stupid decision to sign him to such a large contract anyone. Especially when Sloan and Brown were available. Hell Brian Shaw could have done well too and it wouldn't have been nearly as awkward of a transition.
