The lakers offensive effciency and bench scoring was abymsal last season that is the reason why we traded for sessions then traded for nash and signed jamison. If the bench(which I believe was in the bottom 5 or last in the league) had hit a few more shots or sessions had facillated the offense like he was supposed to or hell knocked down some shots against okc it would be a totally different tune people would be singing of the laker matchups against okc.

The defense will always be what it is against okc but if the lakers had executed the offense better or had another all star player who could create for himself and others(nash), the lakers would of probably won that series.

And as others have mentioned before, a better offensive efficiency for the team will ultimately improve the teams defense since they wont have to defend in transition to much (which is something they're horrible at).

Kobe is that nikka when U.S. basketball team goes abroad

They carry cameras and microphones, sprinting toward Kobe Bryant like Christmas shoppers who just spotted the “it” gift sitting on shelves.

Their questions come quickly, some in English, many in Spanish, and Bryant gives the perfect answer every time.

Yes, Spain is an incredible team that can pose problems for the U.S.

The only thing Bryant can't seem to explain to reporters is why he's so much more popular than his teammates on the Olympic basketball team.

“I don't know. I don't know where it comes from or how that happens,” he said Saturday with a laugh. “It all started with the Dream Team in terms of basketball becoming so global. When I came into the NBA, I kind of inherited kind of the globalization of the game, and then having grown up overseas they really kind of laid claim to me because this is where I learned how to play the game, is overseas.”

Chris Paul figures Bryant owes it to the way he's won and carried himself through the years — along with one other thing.

IMO...

You can never guarantee a chip in sports, but as far as being contenders again, we good :win:

Plus Kobe shows his loyalty to Pau, which is no doubt gonna make Pau play better. Kobe and Pau >>> Kobe and Shaq lets be honest :manny:

For long-term relationship and compatibility yeah...but on court production:usure:

Pau doesn't have an ego and isn't alpha, which is a great sidekick for Kobe:ahh:

Our starting unit is set which is :win:

Our bench is getting there but we need to make one or two moves. It would be nice if we can get Barbosa with half the mini MLE and give the other half to Terrence Williams.

Nash/Blake
Kobe/Barbosa
Artest/Terrence Williams
Pau/Jamison
Bynum/Hill
