Many teams have done way worse....Joe Johnson, Rashard Lewis etc. etc.

Big men who can play get max money, it's just one of the facts of life. Even if he doesn't perform up to standard, he's not untradeable because he'll still be young and 7 feet tall. He'll always have an opportunity in the NBA.

I'm not disagreeing that he'll get paid. I'm asking you whether you'd be comfortable being that squad that pays him. It might work out better for him in LA because the expectations will remain moderate whereas in Cleveland and especially Orlando, the whole operation is built around him.

Hill, His people, and the Lakers Organization have ALL said he wants to stay with the Lakers. If he ends up with the Wolves it'll be because the Lakers dragged their feet fukking around with Dwight.

Maybe you haven't followed Bynum his whole career but the Jim Buss has tapped Bynum as being "The Future of the Franchise" since he was drafted. Lakers fans have been quick to shyt on Bynum since he got here but more often than not he's proved the Lakers wrong.

This past season Bynum's lack of Motor had more to do with him not liking Mike Brown than anything else. He actually had his shyt together last season after talking with Phil Jackson and the defensive coordinator. By ALL reports Bynum does that shyt because he wants to be THE guy on the team.

It is true, the Timberwolves weren't the only team interested in Hill and pretty much every team can offer him more money than the Lakers can (given their cap situation).

Again if it was JUST about a bigger paycheck for Hill he'd have gone somewhere else by now.

What I'm saying is that the choices are pretty much narrowed down to LA or the Wolves. Seems like anyone else that was remotely interested has dropped off.

I know @JRudolphSports personally and I know he's a solid guy w/ a close connection to Dwight Howard so while it's always difficult to make a deal, according to Jarrod, Howard is ready to commit long-term to the Lakers. I wrote some time ago LA was worried about his back but they've since done their due diligence & are confident in it. That's why we next ran my LAL/HOU/ORL article & the LAL/CLE/ORL article from @AlexKennedyNBA. Curious where we go from here and if doors can be walked through.
