Dwight getting shytted on by Big Game James dude is a ho wont be able to handle LA legacy

"I like Andrew Bynum," Worthy said recently at an appearance at Bell Gardens Intermediate School, sponsored by After School All-Stars Los Angeles and Metro PCS. "He's young and just as good as Dwight right now. He's getting better. Dwight ... to me, he's too much gab and too much talking. I'm old school. I want to see something done on the floor. He does all this media stuff, flip-flopping. You don't get respect from veteran players when you do that kind of stuff. They just want you to play. They want to see what you can do out there."

Because Bynum never flaps his gums and always lets his game do the talking, right? :rudy:

:stopitslime:That is how I feel. I'm sure Worthy nodded his head in approval when Bynum took that 3, or skipped out on a meeting, showed no pride in being a Laker(banks everywhere comment) etc..

Different situation with Bynum. He very well might want to stay in L.A. but he's been a part of trade rumors his ENTIRE career. Lakers fans spend more time coming up with dream trade scenarios involving him than supporting him.

I want to support bynum but he never seems to be able to get his head right, people get fed up with that shyt. If he was just the player who didn't say or do anything controversial while contributing his all star numbers no one would be saying shyt about dwight or anyone else.

It’s no secret at this point in time in the NBA off-season that the Los Angeles Lakers options in free agency are extremely limited. With the new CBA starting to take its toll on the Lakers’ front office, GM Mitch Kupchak must find other ways to bring in new faces in order to upgrade the roster.

As options continue to emerge for the Lakers, the plot begins to thicken on which direction the storied franchise might go in, with some serious upgrading needed for the bench heading into next season.
Another potential sign-and-trade opportunity may have surfaced in the form of shooting guard Courtney Lee according to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld.com:
“The Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns are interested in signing Lee outright while the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have explored potential sign-and-trade scenarios for the shooting guard.”
Obviously, Lee is an intriguing acquisition for the Lakers as it gives them a promising young talent that can come off the bench to give Kobe Bryant some much needed rest. At 26 years-old, Lee has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA, and with the right situation he might be able to make a name for himself next season.
Another free agent option that the Lakers may also be exploring in terms of a sign-and-trade is O.J. Mayo. Players that may be involved in such a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies or Houston Rockets are Steve Blake and Josh McRoberts. The expiring contract of McRoberts is reportedly getting some of interest. With both of these players bringing youth to an aging Lakers squad, they’ve definitely perked the interest of Kupchak and company.
Last season, Lee averaged 11.4 points per game while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc. Lee is strictly a scorer without much skill to distribute the basketball. Lee’s defense is another perk to a potential deal, but the Lakers are focusing on the fact that he can become a scoring threat off the bench that has been sorely missed after the departure of Lamar Odom.
In comparison to Mayo, Lee may be considered the lesser of the two candidates, but that might not be the case. Despite Mayo being the bigger name, Lee had the better shooting percentage from the floor (43 percent), charity stripe (82 percent) and from three-point range (40 percent). In terms of scoring average, Lee and Mayo are fairly close in comparison at 11.4 to 12.6 points per game.
Acquiring Lee via sign-and-trade may also be a much more realistic option with so many teams in the running to land Mayo in free agency.
Another option the Lakers are also considering as a backup for Kobe that can provide some offense off the bench is veteran Grant Hill. Even at 39 years-old, Hill is getting a lot of interest around the league with the New York Knicks and Miami Heat also showing interest. The Lakers are currently the frontrunners to sign Hill at the veteran’s minimum, but the Knicks are said to be emerging as legitimate candidates as well.

Acquiring Dwight Howard isn’t the Los Angeles Lakers’ lone remaining offseason objective.
In an effort to add a bit of depth to an extremely unimpressive bench, L.A. management is reportedly looking into signing Grant Hill and/or Brandon Rush. The latter player is a restricted free agent with the Golden State Warriors, whereas the former is an unrestricted free agent who’s also getting serious interest from the New York Knicks.
Last year, Rush averaged 10 points on 50 percent shooting in 26 minutes of action per game. He also shot 45 percent from behind the arc – a figure noticeably better than his career 41 percent average. The Lakers were one of the league’s worst three-point shooting teams in 2012, and Rush would change that instantly. He’s not great off-the-dribble, but given the playmakers on L.A.’s roster right now – he doesn’t really have to be.
Hill, 39, is a proven veteran in the NBA who successfully rejuvenated his career during these past five seasons with the Phoenix Suns. Last year, through 49 games, he averaged 10 points on 45 percent from the field in 28 minutes of play. He’s not a good three-point shooter a la Rush, but he can do more things off the dribble. Plus, he’s a more heady player and can actually lead the offense when the starters are off the floor.
So, what’s the latest on both players? Well, via John Gambadoro and Yannis Koutroupis:

Brandon Rush confirms the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in him. Negotiations are ongoing.

For what it’s worth, on Sunday, Frank Isola tweeted this:
Grant Hill, NBA's second oldest player behind Kurt Thomas, is considering Knicks, Lakers & Heat. Hill's wife, the singer Tamia, prefers NY
— Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) July 15, 2012
At this point, the smart money is on L.A. ending up with Hill. Getting Rush would be complicated for the Lakers because of his restricted free agent status.
Considering how bad anemic the bench is right now, either guy would be a welcome addition.

Same here. I want to support him but he just does stuff that throws me off, like sitting at the end of the bench when everybody else is in the huddle or shooting 3 pointers or only caring about offense and not playing defense. It's so frustrating and makes you wonder if he really wants to be a part of this team.

My Pops Forever RIP
to be signed or in for a visit???

they talk to him every day. Same with Stiemsma and Hill and Tolliver. Kahn's basically telling them to hold on til Wednesday. Once Batum gets matched, the floodgates will open on those guys because now there's no waiting period for anyone except maybe Stiemsma and now Minny can outbid them. Lee's camp is getting antsy though.

Hearing Jamison is less likely w/Nets unless, somehow, negotiations w/Humphries collapse. Per @rick_bonnell, Lakers, Bobcats also finalists.
