Laker fans, we shouldn't be fretting over this Dwight situation, because the beauty of it all, is we are good either way. Just a choice of which bytchassness we will have to deal with, Bynum or Dwight.
there's reports saying its not S&T...they letting him walkDon't know if it's true or not
Duke better be getting paid...he goes to a losing team just to be a backup again![]()
I don't see why the Bobcats would make it a sign and trade if they can afford to sign Sessions outright without giving the Lakers anything.
The Lakers are targeting Antawn Jamison, Elton Brand and Jermaine O'Neal as they look to improve the frontcourt.
The Lakers hope one of the three veteran bigs accept the veteran's minimum. The team also has the 'mini' mid-level exception, which begins at $3 million per year, but prefer to hold onto that in case a Dwight Howard trade is consummated.
Los Angeles remains in negotiations with Jordan Hill as well.
"According to 610 radio, Morey nixed a deal on draft consisting of Lowry & Scola + our 3 firsts for Bynum"
Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter: @MettaWorldPeace is in outstanding shape; light years ahead of last offseason when injuries plagued him during lockout.

World Peace is working out at the team’s facility today; told me he’s focusing on trimming any body fat. Has explosion/quickness back.
Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan: Interesting addition to Lakers' summer-league team: Ex-UCLA player Reeves Nelson. Was kicked off Bruins last year for disciplinary reasons.
Assistant coach candidate profile: Bernie Bickerstaff
By Mark Medina

...The Times' Mike Bresnahan reports that the Lakers might be interested in Bernie Bickerstaff.
Background: Bickerstaff has compiled a 415–517 head-coaching record, 12-21 in the postseason, with stints in Seattle (1985-1990), Denver (1994-96), Washington (1997-99) and Charlotte (2004-07). Bickerstaff had served in the dual role of coach and general manager with the SuperSonics, Nuggets and Bobcats. And he had several assistant coaching stints, including his current one with the Portland Trail Blazers. Because of that, the Lakers would have to get permission first from Portland before interviewing Bickerstaff.
Connection to Brown: It's huge. Brown largely credits Bickerstaff for helping him land his first gig with an NBA organization...
Style: A Baltimore Sun article detailing how he helped rebuild Washington quoted various players as praising Bickerstaff's qualities...
