like others have mentioned, after 10 years of marriage in California that alimony becomes lifetime. here's what's going to happen,
- after 10 years of marriage and once the big money years of his career are over, she will file for divorce using the usual excuse of "irreconcilable differences"
- she will then receive 50% of every dime he has ever earned along with the majority of their homes, cars, other assets, etc.. and of course 50% of his retirement and lifetime alimony payments despite not lifting a finger to earn any of it.
and here we are in 2016 and this type of legal theft is still acceptable
