the nba will implode with hate if the lakers do this
because the rockets want either howard or bynum and they aren't giving up enough to get howard but they can get bynum since the magic aren't as high on him?
the Lakers can't offer picks because you can't trade your 1st rounder two years in a row and their '13 and '15 picks just went to Phoenix... so all LA is giving up in this trade is Bynum and they're getting Dwight in return? If that's the case, and all the young players + picks are coming to them from Houston, why not just deal Dwight directly to Houston and cut out the Lakers as the middle man? The Magic would still end up with the same package of young players and picks while Houston got Dwight instead of Bynum
The Lakers would accept taking back Jason Richardson in a trade involving Dwight Howard.
Richardson is owed three seasons and $18.6 million on his contract.
Bynum, 24, has one year left on his Lakers contract and has a short list of potential teams with salary-cap space and supporting cast that primarily include the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets with the Cleveland Cavaliers and a couple others on the list, league sources said.
It's equally as bad. The Nets offer sucks, if the Magic want to give Brook Lopez a max deal, they can do it in free agency. I don't know why the Nets are even interested in satisfying Dwight's demands, just about every team in the league would participate in a shyt deal for him.
If I was the Magic, I'd either let him play out the season or just say fukk it and trade him for dirt and try to use the OKC rebuilding plan over the next few years. Making sure Dwight lands in a situation he approves of should really be at the bottom of their list of priorities.
If dwight doesn't want to sign an extension then don't do it mitch. I'd rather have retard bynum with a multiyear deal than dwight leaving after one.
Thats cuz Morey's an idiot Swag. If I didn't know any better, he probably just wants Drew just to be able to sign & trade him next offseason. Honestly, I don't even think I could root for Dwight if he comes to LA. Dude is so bytchmade. He'd be up there with Smush, Samaki, Walton and Turiaf as the Lakers I've hated the most
Lakers probably taking back J rich...a lil too pricey but would be a great backup
To answer's point below, the Lakers can't simply take JRich back. There would be way too much salary coming in vs. what is going out.
