But let's not act like women's boxing competition nowadays isn't much stronger now than it was then. Claressa is a 2x gold medal Olympian. Laila is...a Dancing with the Stars competitor.

Laila is lying her ass off. She was and is always the one with the excuses. Ann's had a gym in Austin for years - it's not like she can't be found. We LITERALLY could probably call the woman on Wednesday. Oh, and not only did Claressa kiss Laila's ass, but so did Ann!?!? Riiiiiiight.

The worst part was that Laila would've done so much more for women's boxing by LOSING to Ann than she did ducking her. That's why nobody gives a shyt about Laila nowadays. War Shields.

I tell you what...I hope Shields doesn't fukk up and put Ann's name in her mouth. I'm a huge fan of T-Rex, but even a 49-year-old Wolfe would give Clareesa the business.

Ann stays in shape but it would be hard for her to be competitive unless Clarissa tried to exchange, which might be a Foreman v. Moore type issue.

Laila is on another level, i love claressa but she reminds me of shawn porter - very physically strong but not really getting these people out of here do to a lack of finishing technique

2 minute rounds and Shields power being kind of meh maybe the physical risk isn't that much relative to the money for Ali
Obviously all of us would watch it so......

This would be huge for women's boxing. MMA has done a better job of propping women up, and Shields is a break-through star trying to capitalize on the current interest in women's fighting. She needs a dance partner with some brand recognition. Throw a couple of women's fights on the undercard and this could start getting some attention and money to the sport.
