As for the person above asking about housing prices, like anywhere else it depends on where you are. The highbrow areas are pretty just like the highbrow areas of any other major cities in terms of housing prices. I've checked out a property that was over $100,000 to rent in the upmarket side of Lagos, and pretty much all the units were occupied. You need to understand that there is a segment of the population that pretty much is loaded up with free cash and they tend to distort the real estate economy in certain areas. Everywhere else outside of this bubble is pretty affordable though.

Imagine going to NYC in the 90s and only taking photos of Manhattan, and using that to represent the whole city.
Lagos is a beautiful place, but that's only a portion of what it looks like.
The majority of the city is like most cities worldwide: mediocre, kind of poor, running on generators.
AA women need to go there and start up some wig shops, Nollywood has taught me that there is a great need for such business, as well as a Black-Sephora where proper makeup matching-to-skintone can happen.
How many Black folks go to Caribbean islands only to fukk with the resorts and not much outside of that? Same concept. Make the upscale shyt the draw and we can build from there.

Abuja mainly consists of Politicians, Diplomats and civil servants. Lagos is the commercial, economic and entertainment hub of Nigeria and West Africa. Abuja will always be second to Lagos.

Cities in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda>>>>

Incorrect. The GDP of Lagos is larger than those countries you listed, not to talk of the cities within those countries. Those countries and their cities are on the rise but they have not reached Lagos status.

I currently live in Nigeria and travel to Lagos twice a month.:birdman:

Dont care if Lagos has a higher GDP. From what I heard from cities like Kigali(from people I know who been there) and from what I saw online the city looks breathtaking and its one of the cleanest cities in the world. Also heard amazing things from Kampala.

I dont know why but I favor East African cities over West African ones.
