but Interscope paid for the video to be shot.. 50 said it himself on an MTV interview when they were shooting the video that the different between that single and his others is that "this one has a budget", plus every other video was shot by Eif Rivera who is 50 Cents in house director

A lot of them never did huge first week numbers to begin with. As already stated, Gaga's last album did what it did because of the $.99 special. Miley Cyrus was Hannah Montana caking off all those Disney kids. Katy Perry's numbers are her usual. Pop music appears to be more singles driven to give an album legs. There's a select few in music overall that do huge numbers overall and most of them debuted in the 90's or early 00's.
