nah breh
her album was out for a year, just dance/poker face and them already tore up the charts
I wonder what direction the song was going that MGMT had to
that WALE track was thrash manee...how do you NOT blow up with that.
the wale track was released in June 2009, Gaga didn't blow till after poker face, and that was released september
nikkas on here rewriting history.
All assumptions..and again..u nikka already made up ur mind as soon as you saw Lady Gaga's name attached to it..even if the track was good u nikkas would hate on it..
We don't like your kind round these parts boi
this like one of the few times an artist has given up a chance to be more popular for the sake of his album's vision and integrity
EDIT: both artists have given up a chance to be more popular, dont know how much bigger gaga can be though
Got to give Lamar's team props for not wanting some pop trash on a hip,hop classic
top dawg entertainment
I think it's far more interesting that the label even allowed Kendrick to turn down an opportunity to work with the biggest star in music these days. You had the build up, you had the hype, the speculation, pictures of them photographed together and everything, and in the end he doesn't even use her. Maybe when he said that he has full control of his album he was actually telling the truth
true, true^^
gotta respect Kendrick & his camp too for not takin the 'easy' route with the Gaga collaboration if the song didn't fit the album
Isn't it the opposite way around though? Gaga's quote is saying she didn't like the direction Kendrick's people were taking the song so she didn't want it used for the album.
All assumptions..and again..u nikka already made up ur mind as soon as you saw Lady Gaga's name attached to it..even if the track was good u nikkas would hate on it..
But why does she sound condescending in that quote.
