Ladies, What Are Yall's Thoughts On "Yes Maam"?

I don't care if someone says into to me. I accidently say it all the time. I don't intend to but my dad always says it and it sorta rubbed off on me.

Does anyone actually say "ma'am" to a woman with the insinuation that she's old?

Every time I've said ma'am or heard it being said, it was always used as a term of respect.

The women that take it as being old are just self conscious as hell.

I'm from the south, so I say yes ma'am and yes sir to everyone no matter the age if I'm on the phone ( telemarketer) ordering food, or being serviced in any kind of way.

So you always say yes?

Younger kids say 'yes ma'am' to me...I say 'yes ma'am' to older ladies..
