Phil Jackson is being his usual d*ck self by demanding a lot of sht from Lakers Mngment which might prevent him getting hired by teh lakers. I guess he's trying to stick it to Jim Buss. :snoop:

I don't mind Phil trying to stick it to Jim. As always though, Jerry got the final decision. The only thing I worry about with that is Jerry loves fast paced run and gun basketball, so it'll be a bit easier for Jim to talk him out of bringing Phil back....Thankfully Jerry values winning above all else.

So Phil says he will come back....but he doesnt want to have to go to all of his teams game..

Sources -- Phil Jackson meets with Los Angeles Lakers brass - ESPN Los Angeles

When Phil Jackson met with Los Angeles Lakers executive vice president Jim Buss and general manager Mitch Kupchak on Saturday, he asked for travel restrictions, a salary in line with what he previously earned with the Lakers and significantly more say over basketball decisions, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

The travel restrictions would limit the number of road games Jackson would have to attend, a source told ESPN.

:dead:

:russ:

this has disaster written all over it...i hope they accept his terms...:king:

The Lakers reached out to Phil not vice versa. So obviously the lakers are in dire straits looking for someone of a Phil Jackson like persona to lead the team back to championship glory.

That being said. Whatever type of 'demands' Phil Jackson wants. The lakers are gonna have to accept it if they really want the Zen Master back.

Heat will still be the best team in the league. Phil or not.

Matter fact, ESPECIALLY with Phil. The triangle wont work unless u have a 6'6" flabby n sick SG, and u convert him to your "PG"

If that were the case he'd already be hired. That's not how negotiations work. Usually both sides have to give a little bit of ground to get things done. Phil is going to get a lot of what he wants but not everything. Leverage is definitely in his favor.

He can poke at Jim Buss all he wants but I think Phil is smart enough not to try that with Jerry.
