No. Dragic is killing teams off the bench and his ability to run an offense allows Butler plenty of time to rest. Dragic is perfect as instant offense and game stabilization for when Butler sits. Let Dragic run that show because Dragic will always defer to Jimmy if they’re on the court together.

Dragic also has a similarly drive and kick mindset as Butler with more pick & roll focus so his game netted well with our young rooks too so the structure of the offense stays similar when Dragic gets those keys handed over.

And then when Dragic is in a rhythm and Jimmy is rested, we spring that duo on squads In the 2nd half to have teams pulling their hair out.

His half-court game has always been good. It's just that he now plays half the minutes he used to and can go all out without worrying about saving himself for later.

I'm not totally sold on Bustise as a PG yet but truth is this team doesn't need a true PG.

You have young talent that provides instant energy and is constantly improving. You have to let young players play to get better. JJ is obviously more polished and better than DJJ right now but this is what you do with young talent

I think his rebounding especially on the offensive end is pretty good. He’s athletic enough that he can play alongside our less mobile bigs like Olynyk and Meyers plus his constant cutting and catch radius make him looming threat capable of turning bad possessions into 2nd chance attempts.

plus he’s legitimately one of the best dunkers in the league and those kind of highlights tend to be huge momentum boosts for a team that plays like this. Cats on this team vibe with each other and feed off those moments.

Let Airplane mode live. JJ gonna get more play later on especially in playoff time.
