Tyler Herro so far looks like a great draft pick and Kendrick Nunn on the first few games so far looks to be a steal.
This.

We already compiled a list of the people that shytted on the pick on draft night. Let's let the season play out tho. Rookies tend to got a wall. Let's see how he handles it

Olynyk, one of my favorite player on the squad, had looked lost thus far. I wonder if it's the injury or the fact that he didn't play in preseason and is out of sync.

Spo should probably let him rest for a week and let him get fully healthy
:hhh:@ OLYNYK. We need to get rid of him. He is not a good fit in a fast pace team.

I'll admit he's not playing well right now. He's not running the floor like he used to our moving without the ball like he used to. Could be the injury.

But don't act like that white boy didn't play hard and made the most of his opportunities the last 2 years. He's somewhat of a hard-nosed defender even though he doesn't have the tools to be a great defender. And he can hit shots to provide spacing .

Now, does he still fit with THIS team? That is yet to be determined. We have a lot of shooters now and he's no longer what we need in a big man since Whiteside was able to hide his flaw when it comes to rim protection or lack of.

One thing I'm almost sure of is that Meyers Leonard is not necessarily an upgrade over a healthy Olynyk. So unless you have a trade coming for a better rim protecting big man you better wish for him to recover quickly. And you know damn well we've given passes two lesser players that just happened to be fan favorites

I wish OLYNYK a great recovery. But he just an average player. He doesn't do anything great. He is a streaky shooter who happens to look good when the roster was filled with mediocre scorers. We need to add another talent in the front-line. A bigger Center, athletic defensive player that can rebound and play defense.

I agree with you but...

  1. You dont need nor want stars at every position, breh. Only one ball to go around and Hassan Whiteside was supposed to be the star big-man on the roster. This aint an all-star game where everyone and their backup is a star. Yes i know we need another star right now but...(see next line)
  2. He's an average player and is paid as such. "Mézi lajan ou. Mézi wanga ou" as my oldschool haitian brehs used to say. Translates loosely to "you get what you paid for". AInt no all-star calling calling a 4 year $50M contract their big payday in 2019, breh. THis is average player in his prime type pay
  3. He was brought here to be a spacing stretch-4/Center type on a team that needed it with all the playmakers we had at the time + Whiteside who mostly thrived inside.
  4. + he's a bit of a Riley type guy in terms of being physical and a bit hard-nosed despite not being some beast in the weight-room like Hassan. He's delivered on that too. He never was a shot blocker but we knew this before we signed him. I think him going hard at Hassan in that game when he was in Boston is what attracted RIley to him. He's not all that physical but surely doesnt shy away from it either.
  5. We have had and still have of players on this roster who do many things either decent or well but "NOT GREAT" that are damn near untouchable in some Heat fan's eyes. I aint gotta name names. You know... :coffee:
Again, if we can trade for a better more athletic big to protect the rim im all in since we have enough floor spacers now and we can afford to lose Olynyk. But dont act like he sucks or hasnt delivered what he was brough here for

I see yall guzzling the Kool aid..

Dude on 560 am was like.. Heat goin be top 3-4 seed :bryan:
Might have too much rum in that Kool-aid because i dont see a top 4 seed yet but it's not totally out of our range.

I see Sixers, Bucks and maybe Celtics being better than us. Raptors wont be as bad as some think either. And some expect the Magic to make a playoff push for whatever reason. I'm not sure where that leaves the Pacers without Oladipo. Think Kyrie will find a way to get the Nets into the playoffs. Pistons...meh...

When we signed Jimmy I saw us being slightly above .500 for the season (42-45 wins) but that's subject to change now that i see Nunn and Herro I wanna see about 10 games about 10 games before i review it.

NO

Before, during and after every draft i always consult with you guys asking for your takes on prospects and the eventual pick and i also do some research myself based on scouting reports and highlight videos because as i always say "i dont watch college sports so i have no clue who these guys are and how good they are". Find the threads and Look it up. I'll wait. Then when the pick is made and people start yapping I always say "the coaching staff may have seen something in him to pick hiim so let's roll with it. Le'ts wait-and-see". Again, look it up. I say this or something along those lines after EVERY-SINGLE-DRAFT, period! NFL and NBA drafts. Again, look it up if you dont believe me.

Ive never been a college sports fan and never will claim to be one. shyt is boring IMO so im not gonna claim to know shyt about something i never watch. The next college football or basketball game i watch in its entirety will be my first. Hell unless it's a party im at and everyone is watching you wont get me to watch 2-3 minutes of it.

Receipts:
Every year I ask for your inputs of who we could get based on our draft slot. Here was this year's:

My very 1st reaction less than a minute after the pick was made:

Subsequent posts about the pick when people started yapping as usual telling mofos to wait and see:

You'll find the same pattern from my posts in the Heat and Dolphins offseason threads. You're welcome breh :coffee:
