With his quickness off the dribble if he develops a 10-12 foot shot he'll get opposing bigs to respect his jumper and be able to beat them to the rim at will after pump fakes.

We have enough 3pt shooters right now

Its crazy to think we have 2 home grown potential super stars in bam and herro. Hopefully they can take that leap while
Jimmy is still in his prime

15 the Magic number. Hopefully we can get healthy and go on a win streak

I'd prefer we try to go for the 2nd or 4th seed if possible. I dont want to deal with the Pacers in the first round right when Oladipo is getting the rust off with fresh legs. They match up with us pretty well

DJJ and Nunn signed deals with Puma. And rumor is Jimmy will be next
His name is getting out there and opposing GMs are noticing too. I dont think we'll be able to keep DJJ beyond this year because of cap space/flexibility. And with Bustise gone we're running out of the versatile wing defenders we use to have so many of :lupe:

I don't know if I want to pay DJJ, but we might have to. Okpala in theory should be able to give us some of what he does, but I would prefer to see it in the 2nd half of the season.

Yeah I'm saying we might not be able to keep him especially because we know Dallas wanted him badly last summer thus why they pulled out the Dragiç deal. I'm sure the Mavs arent the only ones who noticed him because it's usually championship caliber teams that look for 3&D guys like him. . I really like Okpala but you're right we need to see more of him. He's more of a natural scorer than DJJ and more physical too. Only similarity is they have the same body types (somewhat). LONG. Which helps them disrupts offenses on the defensive side.

So some team out there will back up the brinks truck for him the same way they did Demarre Carroll and Kent Bazemore a few years ago when all these wild contracts were being handed out. Think that was the same year we dropped a bag on Tyler freakin' Johnson

the dragic trade and the iggy trade proved that our FO prioritized keeping DJJ over winslow. We have his bird rights so we can get creative with the cap to keep him along with drag.

Im sure his puma deal helps his pockets so that if he really do like it here we can make it work. Its crowder that we will lose even tho he looks like a good bench piece

Injuries are part of the game.
Sometimes i feel some of us in here dont appreciate what Dragiç is doing this season enough. His whole stay with Miami, really. Imagine you're a guard on the opposing team barely keeping up trying to chase down Nunn and Duncan Robinson with our starters and you're panting and the horn sounds and you have the Dragiç coming in. Like yeah the guy that had you tired of running around is getting a breather and now you have to guard this Dragiç or Herro. Good luck

Yeah but the thing is, is that they might get tired from chasing all of our guys around but that player is still going to light all them up on the opposing end of the floor because none of the guys mentioned are good on defense either

Well that takes away some of their energy too, tho. If you been chasing Duncan Robinson around screens all evening when you go back on offense, while having the ball in your hands always seems to give you a bit of energy, you dont have as much lift.
