Has there or has not there been a talking point most of this season about the officiating benefitting the Lakers? Or have you been living in an alternate reality where Austin Reaves just didn't get TWICE as many free throws as Ja?

The Lakers have attempted 428 more free throws than their opponents this season — more than twice as many as any other team and 830 more than the team with the worst free-throw disparity (notably, the Warriors).

The Grizzlies finished with the #3 defense in basketball. They are going to make any team struggle to score points. If they advanced and got Sac or SF, they'd make those teams struggle. Jackson and Tillman are dynamic walling off the interior, and they've got switchability on the perimeter with Brooks, Bane, Roddy, Jones. A team like GS that doesn't score well inside is going to be food in games the jumpers aren't falling...

For the Lakers, they arent gonna face another defense this dominant in The West, so the offensive production will open up. The next challenge for them will be defending teams that are more creative and dangerous offensively than Memphis is...

But LA's ability to go into these lockdown stretches defensively contradict your statement...

22-9 in their last 31 games. 58-win pace. This is an elite basketball team...

Memphis has to get some grown ups or another great player in the building. No one can be relied upon night after night to score the ball besides Ja. Jackson can potentially be great, or this could be his ceiling. This team needs maturity and more legitimate shot creators...
