I seen enough. AD played 40 playoff games and only had like 2 or 3 bad games out that 40. He a goat playoff performer
All that shyt cane in early rounds besides 2020. shyt he's only been to the playoffs 4 times total, this his 5th time in the playoffs and he in Y11. He's spent most of his career at home this time of year, and in the 4x he been in The Tournament, three times he out early...

That's context that can't be ignored but I feel you dog, he's been great when he's played and he was great yesterday too. And nikkas keep hoping this Lakers team fades out but these dudes might be a real problem for anyone...

"There is a catch. A team with cap room can offer Reaves up to four years, with the last two years as high as a maximum salary. The offering franchise would need up to $24.7 million in cap room, but a max deal would have the following structure:

  • Year 1: $11,368,000 (non-taxpayer mid-level exception)
  • Year 2: $11,936,400 (five percent raise)
  • Year 3: $36,850,000 (as if he were paid the maximum in years 1 and 2)
  • Year 4: $38,525,000 (4.5 percent raise)
  • Total: $98,679,400"
Reaves may not get near the max, but he could be worth a price similar to what the Atlanta Hawks just paid to Bogdan Bogdanović in a four-year, $68 million extension. A team with $17 million in cap space could give Reaves a salary of $11.4 million for 2023-24 that would then bump to about $21.9 million for 2025-26."

Based on a $162 million threshold, the tax bill projects to be $36.8-104.5 million. Reaves at $1.8 million instead of $11.9 million would have saved the franchise a lot of money."

Lakers arent paying a crazy tax bill for Reaves unless they win a ring

They are both great playoff performers but aren't All-Time great postseasom players...

He only finished one long run too as a great player. '17 he got hurt in G1 of the WCF, '21 he got hurt in G4 of the WCSF. Two great rounds doesn't make a great run...

He's had one strong, long playoff run...

You saw it last season. LeBron would get super excited over him. Especially when he hit a game winner last year.

Silly coli niccas just wanna be petty and hate for no reason. They pick and choose shyt to overblow…. Especially when it comes to Bron.

Like in football, some of the Niners players said the exact same thing about Purdy that Bron said about Reeves and no one called it :duck:

It’s wild how cats that never even been to one practice yet alone been to a live game or know the in and outs with this shyt be so vocal though :deadrose:

LeBron can extend his game another five or six years if he models it after Jason Kidd or Magic Johnson
It's not worth it. You're supposed to still enjoy your life in retirement.

Guys like Dirk wish they retired a year or two earlier.

That decline will be significant for Bron with more and more injuries sidelining him for extended period of time. It's already happening little by little.

As one of the all time greats, do you really want to be out there at the age of 43 coming off the bench mentoring rookies and getting little minutes of actual gametime?

Cause no man, not even Bron, is capable of having a great season in their early to mid 40s.

He's had 20 intense basketball seasons. That alone is a huge accomplishment.

No pun intended but did Ja injure his shooting hand?

Think so. My guy Ja Wilkes Booth sounded depressed after the game.

The job done by Rob Pelinka at the trade deadline was some mastery of being a GM. Kobe blessed the Lakers with him. :wow:
Hopefully they keep Malik Beasley and Mo Bamba. This trade deadline showed the value of having sizable expiring contracts. Beasley ($16M) and Bamba ($10M) could be flipped at the deadline next year if necessary.
