It's bad for basketball. Awful sight lines. They played in Newark for a bit, that arena isn't bad. Plus, the Newark location was close to light rail.

CapNah, just amazed how a shytty poster you are. This anti-Kyrie crusade is real weird & personal.
I thought New York dropped the mandate?
What’s the difference? (I’m legit confused)Not for the private sector. He can just basically be in the arena physically.

NYC, like many other metropolitan areas had a mandate to be vaccinated to enter places that offer public accommodations. You had companies like FedEx who weren’t trying to get their employees vaccinated so there’s another mandate in place that all private employers operating in NYC of a certain size has to get their employees vaccinated. The Nets qualify as that sort of organization so even though he can attend a game now that the public accommodations mandate is down, he still can’t get around the fact that he works for an NY employer subject to the private sector mandate.
Nah never been there. Been to a Knicks game, and been in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn
When Jason Kidd was there, people who went there told me the NJ building was rocking. But some said it was hard to get to if you didn't drive
whoever told you that lied. as a lifer, few things were more painful than having a fukking SQUAD and knowing we were gonna lose that team cause no one would go watch. the nets were never able to draw fans consistently.
east rutherford was a horrible location for an arena (when you only have to visit 8 times a year to watch a football game, the commute is way different). nets should have been in newark or jersey city from day one. only spots in jersey that can mimic the ease of commute you get in NYC.

The Bay Area had the same mandate, which is why Wiggins got vaccinated. On the flip side, Kyrie could play unvaccinated in the bay. Why? Because he plays for the Nets - not a Bay Area employer, and he was going to participate in a public accommodation. It’s a weird loophole as an entertainer that he sits in. If NYC had the legal authority to require individuals who do business in NY state for whatever period of time to be vaccinated then no unvaccinated player would be able to play there. They can’t.
