Being able to sit back and watch allowed him to learn the strengths and weaknesses of his teammates

But then again, Atlanta is terrible so we’ll see

That was basically a rehab game and he played super efficiently and believe it or not that's how the Nets would actually want him to play. Efficient basketball.

But he doesn’t because it’s probably boring for him. Dude is so talented that he can basically turn into Chris Paul on steroids anytime he wants, but would rather be a miniature Kobe.

Reminds of me of Iverson chasing Mike when he could have been Isiah Thomas on steroids:francis:

Funny you said that since his comparison going into Duke was CP3.

Was just thinking about it the other day too, Kyrie's development is strange since you usually see shades of whoever they were compared to. CP3 & Kyrie are like different languages.

Whatever he is it worked out since Bron doesn't win it without him & vice versa, and he's got the best skillset to watch imo. But just going off HS scouting we def got the alternate mustache Kyrie lol.

I dont think the floor general type PGs can win you championships in this era. Need to put points on the board.

Not talking about a Floor General the way a guy like Rondo is per se. But a guy who can and will score but will still set up his teammates and get them easy looks and not look for his shot everytime down the floor. CP3 and Kyrie believe it or not have the same skillset, yet play a completely different game.

I agree but I was referring to CP3 when I was talking about floor generals, although Rondo is one too.

CP3 playoff failures in the past (that dont have anything to do with him getting injured) were usually because of a lack of aggression from him on the offensive end. Theres room for Kyrie to be more of a set up man but him being a score-first PG I dont think hinders him as a player.

He should want to be somewhere in the middle of where he is now and CP3. I think he should want to be more like Lillard, aggressive and constantly looking to attack the defense but keeping his team involved instead of going 1 on 1. Lillard almost never goes 1 on 1 despite being a score first guy, and it helps keep his teammates awake because they all know they could get a pass from him at any moment.

I think if he did what Lillard does now he could do it 5 times better than Lillard does it.
