Kyrie Irving has asked the Cavs to trade him; Lebron blindsided by trade request

They may prefer having control over Fultz for potentially 7-8 years over 2 years of Kyrie. Plus it'll be cheaper to have Fultz on a rookie deal for 4 years. They already have to pay Joel after this season.

Yeah I'm familiar with cheap rookie labor

Kyrie is a top 10 talent tho

He's one of the few guys in the league who is worth his deal

You don't want a great roleplayer at PG, you want a guy that can break down a defense. With Jabari tearing his ACL again they're going to need another scorer with Giannis and Middleton isn't that and Brogdon damn sure isn't. His weaknesses showed in the playoffs and becoming a break down player isn't something you can do at 24.

Middleton is the answer

They have caproom for two maxes next summer, and I think they really believe in Fultz, plus they're making Simmons their unquestioned primary ball handler.

Because those Combination of players weren't there for him:gucci:

You can't go from playing bron ball then trying to fit Kyrie into the same Bron Ball system when he's in there alone.

Yall nikkas wondering why he want his own team:mjlol:

Like he should be grateful he gets to play with Lebron... Lebron came to him wanting to team up with All-stars. Kyries done now and wants his own shyt and he's earned it.

nikkas been disrespecting Kyrie for 3 years now acting like he's Mario Chalmers or some shyt. Chalmers wasn't a hoe and neither is Kyrie... Except Kyrie is a top PG. all these other "good PG's on mediocre teams" are also receiving a lot more respect than Kyrie is.

Kyrie is my favorite non-Rocket but you gotta stop lying about what this dude's skillset is:francis:

Being "a hoe" has nothing to do with fitting into a system. Chalmers was out of the NBA last season:yeshrug:

If somebody is smart they'll go there :sas2:

Minnesota could have cleared room and added 2 max deals around towns, Wiggins lavine and Dennis smith

These teams don't seem confident that they can sign stars

Oh I agree Kyrie is an elite talent and likely a top 3-5 talent scoring wise in the league.

Ideally though Fultz develops into a Kyrie like talent but potentially an elite defender who can guard two positions due to his height and wingspan.

The Truth
...to achieve less.

It would be career suicide.
Book it.
He has, at the least, 10 years left of a career

How is it career suicide:heh:

Kyrie not even in his prime yet...

Lebron was going to jump ship A THIRD TIME anyway.

Bron stans:snoop:

Team was built around Lebron when it was promised to Kyrie and he rolled with it "to be a part of something great". Now that "something great" is looking like another cakewalk into the finals where Lebron gets all the praise and they get swept again by one of the superteams out west. So then Lebron will get none of the blame (again) but now it's career suicide for Irving to try to go somewhere else and restart his own journey?

If he was viewed as equal instead of "just a sidekick" then maybe he would stay.

This is the same cat who told Kobe he'd beat him 1v1 when he was still fresh in the league. nikka ain't trying to be known as a sidekick then stuck in Cleveland with Lebrons leftover pieces

Peep the edit

:mjcry:

I think Minnesota is aware that caproom alone won't get them star players. I'm not a fan of what they did but they are hungry to make the playoffs and this should do it. I think Philly is in a different spot though since its a major market.

Paul George would be dumb as hell not to give them a look if Embiid can play 60+.
