From the timeline and everything being reported, it just sounds like he was tired of being a pawn in LeBron's career saga and wanted to create a story of his own...To a guy with any kind of ego, after how he's performed in the last two finals (iconic title clincing 3, huge 40point games), to be dangled out there as trade-bait for pieces to placate LeBron and convince him to bless the franchise, city and his teammates with his continued presence instead of leaving them high and dry again with zero warning... Had to be the final slap in the face... The team didn't seem to value him as much more than a piece to be bargained away, and by implication via lack of "no way we trade kyrie, Bron would be pissed"-armour neither did LeBron... Not to say either party has some obligation to treat kyrie as a homegrown untouchable cornerstore of the team in the way that the dubbs treat Steph, but I can imagine why Kyrie thinks he's worth more as a player than to be just some random interchangeable stepping stone for LeBron to use in his strive for greatness as he goes galavanting from team to team trumping up his legacy
All that needs to be said.

At this point their roster is pretty much set. They're stuck with too many bad contracts. It is what it is. Their roster is good enough to beat 98% of teams in the NBA. There are no moves they any GM could make that would enable them to beat Golden State. No eastern conference team is going to trade with Cleveland to make them stronger except for the Knicks. And signing or trading for a player that's going to force Kyrie to change his game again or take shots away from him is bad. Kevin Love wasn't a good fit.
You think the Knicks are pulling that off? Rose didnt fit in the triangle, and Kyrie would be marginally better on that squad at best, not like his jumper is that much better, and he gets to/finishes around the rim about the same %, and Kyrie may ask for more $ than NY is willing to dump out. They've got their share of bad contracts. :francis:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
This time last year the fans and media was on LeBron's dikk. One year later he's a selfish diva. Bring a championship to the city of Cleveland after a 50 year wait and less than a year later people want him gone.

That's the nature of sports I suppose. Fans can't complain about loyalty and players leaving when they're so quick to turn on nikkas.

Honestly at this point I don't give a shyt. NFL is right around the corner. Luckily the rosters are bigger and the best players tend to stick with teams longer. I'm done with the NBA until January.

Kyrie is a much better shooter and finishes about 4% higher at the rim.

They aren't going to win. He will sabotage any chance of that. Remember how he disappeared against Boston in 2010?
Two totally different scenarios. Like I said I can live with the results either way of if they can win or if those players stay or leave. But I'm gonna watch the games and hope my team competes. I don't know who your favorite team is but if its not GS and you're conceding that's pretty sad.

This was supposed to be Kyrie's team, I think even with Lebron he expected to have some say but he went from being his team to having zero say at all. Seeing Lebron's friends get positions on teams, and hearing his name on trade rumors so Lebron can compete..I can't blame the guy for wanting to be gone. Kyrie went from being the man to now Cavs are willing to trade him if team improves:yeshrug:.

There is no other player with this much power like Lebron has, most role players and fringe allstars like Love might be cool with it but guys like Kyrie who think of themselves as equal dont want to deal with this shyt.

I don't know where Bron could go where he'd be afforded the same power other than the 6ers at this point. Magic won't play that shyt and neither will Jerry West. So either he stops asking for the world or he goes to Philly I guess. Loser ass franchises (no offense to either the Cavs or Philly), seem to be willing to give Bron the world. Miami had too much cultrue

I'm not a stat nerd but youre right I do know Kyrie shoots a little better than rose, if I had to take a pick its going to be Kyrie. Rose is officially washed.

Playing with any other superstar is better than playing with LeBron when it comes to the individual. Doesn't matter what you do, it'll always be about LeBron to the media

that doesnt make sense, cause that's how it is with all superstars...the superstars/best player gets the media attention....and based off the teams he wants to go to, he still wouldnt get that attention....if he goes to the spurs, kwahi and pop gonna get the attention before him....goes to the knicks, portzinges (sp) and melo (if he there) would get the attention before him....if he goes to minny, wiggins, butler, and towns gonna get the attention before him....if he goes to the heat, he might get the attention first....

Lebron isn't committed long term with CLE and at the same time wants CLE to get young talented studs like PG13, Jimmy Butler etc. Bron signing 1 year deals and don't care about the Cavs giving up future firsts to appease him... Kyrie sees what's going on and already knows the deal.

On top of all of this... 3 of the guys Lebron was instrumental in getting to CLE and keeping in CLE (Love, Thompson, JR) are the reasons why CLE can't even make moves or sign impact FAs.

I wonder if all these fakkits are still clinging to the argument that trading Wiggins was a good move.

Probably not

Not only would Wiggins have given Cleveland a long term future, along with Kyrie. Love turned out to be trash so I'm betting Wiggins could have easily did better than that. And lastly, Wiggins being on a rookie contract would have given the Cavs much needed flexibility to sign more players. But...it was a good move though right

No it's not. There's a big difference between the 2. Like if Kyrie went to the spurs, even though Kawhi would be the #1 I guarantee no one would be asking him dumb questions about Kawhi being a father figure to him or asking kawhi about Kyrie getting a pass like a child. It's be more of a partnership 1-2 punch than this forced ass father son bs

This is why Pat Riley tried to dead all that preferential treatment shyt. Don't matter how good you are, that shyt sows seeds of resentment in a team. You gotta be treated like a king and your whole squad gets hooked up with team jobs while all your other teammates are looking like :gucci:. Bron stays trying to be above the team, always expects his demands to be met, while not committing fully to that team :martin:
