I have a cousin that's serving 12 years concurrently (State Pen) for killing 3 people in a car accident. It was 12 years for each person killed. He had weed in his system, BAC was below limits, he was fatigue, texting while driving, and doing 100mph. He was 25 when it happen and 4 years into the sentence. He's hella lucky the judge didn't say he had to serve consecutively.
