He also produced on fire for Lloyd banks, turn da lights off for tweet n missy, switch for will smith, as well as songs for Christina aguilera, talib kweli, method man, etc ...he's actually a very dope producer. He's also in a group called the alumni w Chubb rock Dana Dane special Ed and Monie love lol.

How did you view it before?

Back then Ny rap was somewhat segregated. You were either the nerds (de la soul) the cool cat ( Kane) or the hardcore ( krs) . Kwame was a hybrid of cool and nerdy and he also added singing in the mix. He was under that herbie luv bug umbrella so the music was gonna be dope regardless.

going down a rabbit hole revisiting this dude’s music. you represents a really interesting part of New York and overall hip-hop history where the music was focused on parties and dancing and songs about MC ing and a lot of kids were getting into the music to stay out of the streets .

He was pretty ahead of his time. he released his debut at age 16 and had a backing band ! :mindblown: makes me wonder why he didn’t try to fold in with De La or A Tribe Called Quest his aesthetic seem to be right up their alley .

The fact that he was young , and had the whole cool nerd swag is a shame because He’s one of those dudes that would’ve been huge during the blog era of hip-hop, he was born 20 years too early.
