Yeah Kurupt killed that sh1t,but I remember Rage getting hiphop quotable for the joint n I liked her verse a lot to. Everytime I listen to this I always think how many people caught the Above the Law diss(es) in it. "1-8-7...its cooold how his ass got smoked"=Cold 187um from Atl n right after that he said "I don't drink no fukkkn VSOP" =Above the Law's single off of Black Mafia Life at the time
kurupt is underrated today because some feel like he dumbed down his lyrics serious and i think people starte noticing at the XXplossive verse (which is ignant as fukk but still one of his most classic verses and one of my favs).
I don't know if you guys remember but he was actually part of the group "The Horsemen" with Canibus, Ras Kass and i forgot who else (maybe chino XL, rakim and killah priest or something like that) but it was suppose to be a super lyricist collective. He was more known as a lyricist in the early/mid 90s. Another dude who i thought was underrated on the mic was RBX.
That Horsemen group was basically Slaughterhouse before Slaughterhouse.
