:mjlol: And you still can’t give me a line that puts it over the top.
You sound like someone who doesnt care about a song telling a story, just one that captures a mood with a punchinline to punch the nail in the board (I dont know you, so I might be wrong, but thats what this one sentence says to me)... There are sectors of listeners, me being one of them, that follows a song like provided as a story and not just a world wind of moods to gear towards a conclusion. As a fan of all types of music, Bob Dylan is a great song writer (horrible voice though.) People who like Dylan to me vs. not, makes a divide which i appreciate knowing who i am speaking to. (beauty of music, in rock.. Im more melody like Nirvana.. In rap, Im more Otis Redding ( I just refuse in hip hop to compare an earlier influence to a white man, doesnt make sense)

That said, its so weird that I actually think Dylan and Nirvana fans would be complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Nirvana was kings of melody and carrying a song through Kurts vocal instrument as accompanying the music, and not for his lyrics to be the focus.... Dylan, it was a 60s thing for lyrics to be the focus in folk (think Fogerty, Joplin, and Neil young.. because their voices sure werent worth a shyt), I dont think his instrumentation was special...

IDK, my opinion

You sound like someone who’s been drinking the kool-aid. He’s nothing but an opportunistic cac singer that was able to steal the same style brehs like Chuck Berry, Broonzy, etc. had been doing and use it to his benefit cuz the 60’s was so volatile.

Nothing he said changed the game of song writing as much as y’all try to hype him.

Honestly y’all sound like some conns cuz all he did was steal from them, polish it up and ship it to the masses cuz he had a wider reach - cuz he was a cac.

Just like I asked breh, point me to something worth :ohhh:.

As far as Nirvana goes - Curt was a lazy guitarist surrounded by great musicians :yeshrug:.

His image made them into a legend.

I mean, I agree with you. I dont think Kurts words really were what made Nirvana a legacy, its the songs and melodies themselves... Nirvana's songs are better then every grunge act in every way except if you look at Alice and Chains a certain way.. Thats better then Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Mudhoney, and all the other acts of that age (RATM are after that, they another level to me) I'm honestly a big fan of Oasis, and you hear their older head Noel Gallagher talk about Grunge before the British Pop music came through, he was of same mind that Nirvana were the only ones worth a sh1t of grunge.. The rest of them was depressing and boring music (although I think Pearl jam got better).. This is my train of thought
