He didn't get fired. He asked Vince to release him so he can get his mind right and rest his body. Like dude said, Kurt is somewhat if a snake by going to sign with TNA not too long after he got his release.

Then you'd know that no amount of rehab, firings or anything would keep Kurt from a wrestling ring. He doesn't listen to anything or anyone that tells him he can't do something because of X, much less anything relating to his addiction, if his actions are any indication. His addiction at this point is just a way to keep doing what he feels he's meant to do, without which his life is meaningless.

The really sad thing about this is that he's been like this for 6 or 7 years, and new news of this sort is just passe. I really hope he doesn't end up dead soon (I feel like I've been saying that for half a decade too), but that's going to be the case if this keeps going. And it's going to be pretty damn sad and pathetic when it happens.
