The Wm 17 match bothers me so much that it want from borderline shootstyle, heavy heavy amateur style in the vein of that Brisco/Inoki classic in late JWA to full blown sports entertainment bullshyt on a dime about halfway through.

It flowed within the context of the match, Angle was growing frustrated w/Benoit countering his mat wrestling so he decked him to switch it up

It still pissed me off because I wanted what the first half was, because especially at that time they were the only two that could do a match like that in WWE and only teased it.

I have a similar issue with Kurt/Brock matches that never reached their potential of WWE's version of shoot style greatness.

To me post-UFC Brock is the biggest letdown in terms of them not really exploring their shoot-style potential; a UWF-ish match with him vs Joe would be :ohlawd:
